A portrait is defined as an artic representation of a person in which the face and expression are predominant. This kind of photography requires a person to look directly at the photographer or artist who makes the portrait. A portrait is more than a snapshot, it is capturing the essence of a person’s identity and attitude.
The eyes have been called the “window to your soul.” Nothing can be close to the truth for portrait photography. Whatever the motivation, people share a common trait when having their portrait photo taken, to make people look good.
